Phang Nga Bay Ko Panyi

Mosque in Moslem Village  on Ko Panyi. The settlement was established  by nomadic Indonesian fishermen.  The houses at Ko Panyi were initially built on stilts  as land ownership was restricted to Thai people. With increasing wealth due to tourism however  purchase of the island became possible allowing the building of the mosque  and a freshwater well.
